Levoit CORE MINI

Personal Air, Reimagined

Core Mini is a compact air purifier designed around the space that matters most: the air immediately around you. Rather than relying on the traditional whole-room approach, Core Mini creates a localized clean-air environment for desks, bedrooms, dorms, and other small spaces while minimizing footprint, noise, and energy consumption.

The Challenge

Traditional air purifiers are designed to move large volumes of air throughout an entire room. That approach often results in larger products, higher power consumption, increased noise, and valuable floor space being dedicated to an appliance.

Many users spend hours within the same small area. Working at a desk, sleeping beside a nightstand, studying in a dorm, or traveling in an RV.

The opportunity was to rethink air purification around the user's immediate environment instead of the entire room.

Understanding the User: Clean Air Where You Actually Need It

The Core Mini was designed around users living and working in spaces where traditional air purifiers can feel oversized or intrusive.

DESK WORKER
Needs quiet filtration without sacrificing valuable workspace.

STUDENT
Limited dorm space, limited budget, and a need to manage odors and airborne particles.

NOMAD / RV OWNER
Requires a compact, portable solution with low power consumption.

The Design Opportunity

Instead of increasing airflow and CADR to clean larger spaces, the product was optimized around a localized micro-environment.

The smaller purification zone allowed the overall system to become more compact, quieter, and significantly more energy efficient while still providing meaningful filtration where the user spends their time.

Design Development

Designing Around a Smaller Footprint

The architecture was developed around a cylindrical filtration system that allows air to enter from 360° around the product while maintaining a compact tabletop footprint.

This configuration maximizes available filtration area while allowing the product to remain only 6.5 inches in diameter and 10.4 inches tall.

Designed to Disappear

At approximately 2.2 lb with a 6.5-inch footprint, Core Mini was designed to integrate naturally into the environments where people spend the most time.

  • DESKTOP
Localized filtration without consuming valuable workspace.

  • NIGHTSTAND
Quiet operation for continuous overnight use.

  • DORM / SMALL SPACE
Compact enough for environments where every inch matters.

  • RV / TRAVEL
Lightweight and low-power for smaller mobile environment

From Concept to Production

The final product brings filtration, airflow, acoustics, usability, and manufacturability together within a compact consumer appliance.

Rather than competing with larger purifiers on maximum room coverage, Core Mini was designed around a different objective:

Deliver effective air purification exactly where the user needs it.
